Theme

This year, the film festival is themeless. Each filmmaker may choose their own theme and genre, including but not limited to drama, horror, comedy, action, and science fiction. For 2023-2024, the Roane State Film Festival is open to all Roane State students and all high school students in Roane, Anderson, Morgan, Loudon, Cumberland, Fentress, Scott, Campbell, and Knox counties.

Rules for Filmmakers

Film Registration

If you plan to enter a film, please register below by February 28, 2024. After you register, you will receive information by email on how to submit your film. All films must be received by 6 PM Eastern time on February 29, 2024.

Film Festival Committee

The Roane State Film Festival is supported by committee members Jason Fishel, Michael Golebiewski, Keith McDaniel, Courtney Minton, Jeff Snell, and Matt Waters.
